No Sew Christmas table runner

It's #12daysofchristmascrafts day 3! Today's craft is a no sew table runner, made with burlap fabric and Christmas ribbon from (you guessed it!) the Dollar Tree! This project was so quick and easy, I want to make one for every season!

Supplies:

  • burlap fabric (I bought this at Joann for 3.99/yd - plus I used a coupon)
  • patterned ribbon (I ended up using just 1 roll)
  • scissors
  • measuring tape
  • hot glue gun

Step 1: Measure and cut burlap to desired size. Mine is 50 inches long, without hangover, and 13 inches wide.

Step 2: Cut the ribbon about an inch longer than the burlap (by the length not width). And, after you find the "right side" of the burlap, place the ribbon facedown under the edge so the burlap overlaps about 1/2 inch.

Step 3: Place the hot glue onto the edge of the ribbon and glue the burlap on top. Be sure to keep the measurement consistent along the whole length of the runner.

 - Be sure to protect your work surface. I did place a board underneath the runner for the remainder of the project.

Step 4: Keeping the runner in the same position, fold the ribbon face up and glue onto the "right side" of the burlap.

Step 5: With the ribbon overlap, fold over and glue underneath.

 - I cut the narrow edge off to decrease bulk.

Step 6: Repeat steps 2-5 for the other side.
