I cant believe an entire season has past since my last post! Reason being, we have been in the process of selling our house. Which, by the way, has been the most nerve-racking couple of months ever! Anyway, we got through it and I’m happy to say the house has sold and we’ve found one in Nashville! So, now we’re getting things packed up and ready to move.
I’m soo excited for this new chapter in our lives and can’t wait to share the journey in the new house! But, for now let me share this super simple and very affordable fall craft!

I made this pumpkin floral arrangement as part of the #diyblogchallenge.
The diy blog challenge is a monthly challenge in which a group of bloggers create a project based on a certain craft item. This month the craft supply was beads. You can check out my last diy challenge post here.
I have to admit, I kind of winged it with this one! I really didn’t know what I was going to do until I saw the beads at Dollar Tree. I kept my floral pumpkin super simple by using just a few supplies!
I’d seen soo many tutorials for pumpkin centerpieces with flowers, I thought I would try it out.
I started by painting this carvable foam pumpkin with chalk paint. It took 3 light coats to fully cover this bright orange pumpkin! The finish that is on the orange pumpkin makes it so the paint cracks slightly, so be sure to allow the paint to dry fully between coats.
While the paint was drying, I worked on the beads. I used a needle and thread to make strands of differing lengths of 2 types of brown beads. The colors I’m going with this fall are browns, creams, and a touch of mauve. I’m seriously loving this color scheme!
I tied the end of the thread onto the beads so the strands would not unravel.
Before attaching the bead strands, I added a very light coat of gold paint in the grooves of the pumpkin to add a little bit of dimension. Then, using my hot glue gun, I attached the bead strands in the pumpkin grooves, alternating each length.
The final step was adding some faux florals and leaves to complete this cheap easy pumpkin centerpiece! The total cost for this floral pumpkin was less than $10!
I plan on using this on our kitchen table in the new house through the fall season.
