Sine it's the first week of Spring, I wanted to share this really easy floral centerpiece! I placed this centerpiece to my kitchen table because it adds a bright pop of color. After all, spring brings flowers right? Even if there is still snow on the ground...

I used mostly
products for this project, which brought the total cost to around $7.
Here is what I used:
- Dahlia flowers (5 bundles)
- Floral foam
- burlap ribbon
- mini cupcake stand (from Target dollar spot)
- octagon shaped box (packaging from an Ikea clock)
- tools - wire cutter, hot glue gun/glue
First I added the burlap ribbon around the outer edge of the box using hot glue. I only added glue to each corner to avoid adding any bulk.
Next I attached the cupcake stand to the base of the box. There was a hole in the center which helped with placement of the stand.
With the stand right side up I cut the floral foam to fit the box. I glued each piece of foam in place to avoid any shifting.
The last step was to add the flowers. I started by placing flowers at each corner and at the center and working from the inside out. In the end I realized it would be easier to start from the outside and work toward the center. Needless to say, I changed the placement of the flowers a few times to get the look I wanted.
I just love the unique shape of the box and the simplistic look created by using one color flower. I hope you're having a colorful start of spring!
